Today (Strength to Run the Race)

IT can not wait
they always say
Indeed, Right Now IT's DUE!
The race continues going
and fatigue
I must fight through
But with each breath I take
I have learned just what to say

Jesus,take my hand
Guide me Lord
Give me strength!

With this small prayer
I am able to endure the cross
this race called life
setting a pace that gives me joy and peace from Jesus's light.
